Well i am soon opening a LAN gaming parlor of my own, and i want to setup dedicated servers for atleast 6 games like CS, MOH:AA, RTCW, Quake III, UT & UT2003
now the question
the server machine config would be as follows (than comes the actual question)
P4 2.53 Ghz (or might be 2.2 Ghz)
845G based motherboard
1 GiG PC2700 RAM
80GB Ultra ATA 100 HDD
Geforce 4 MX 440
DSL connection
now my question(s)
1. Will the above mentioned machine be able to handle more than one dedicated server?
i.e. on one machine can host a server of CS as well as server of RTCW without any lag?
and can i host more than one server for a particular game e.g. a CS server for newbies and as well as CS Regular server
2. Do i need a "high end" graphic accelerator for a dedicated server? the only reason i am having a geforce4 MX is so i can use nview to distribute the desktop and thus have more arranged desktop space for multiple dedicated servers
3. DSL is new to our country, what would be the LEAST connection i can get to ensure my users will get a lag free game? we have connections starting from 128kb shared and 64kb dedicated link (the arena will be supporting 30 users at max)
4. Is it possible to hookup a LAN and on the same time configure it so that only FEW clients are able to connect to internet while other pc's can't
5. We would be using cybercafepro software (www.cybercafepro.com) can you suggest any other alternative or better software
Thank You
