what is the voltage for sdram normally and how high the limit?
i dont know whats the normal voltage for sdram but boards with sdram modules will usually adjust voltage by the VIO regulator. this is the voltage supplied to the chipset, pci, agp etc and the memory. i think the voltage regultaor on the mainboard will then re-adjust the voltage supplied to the memory modules.
normal VIO is 3.3V and highest should be about 3.6V.
SDRAM does run at 3.3V. I had mine running at 3.75V for several months on an Iwill KK266- I did not run into any problems or anything. The sticks didn't even get any hotter- but they did OC better :D
Personally I would not try to feed them much more than 3.8; just too risky.
i never tried to go any higher than 3.6V, but just because i also never got any benefit at all from doing it, no higher clock or timings and stability would improve only because the chipset or something else other than RAM.
i personally think its risky enought having it at 3.6V.
