<----- Hey, I finally got my second Star, Yeah!!!

<-----Also finally found an avatar that I liked and didn't see someone else with.

Well, after the long wait, the sort of wait that will give you ulcers its time to begin.

Here's what I have to start with (I'll update as I make changes so you can see how I fare):

Temps Measured using Asus Probe
Stability Tested Using Sisoft Burn In Wizard Looped 20 times
Load Temps Taken at the end of Stability Test

(If anyone knows of some better programs to use that might result in Higher Load Temps/or better stability test please post with advice on how long to run them.)

Base Factory Spec Settings

FSB@133Mhz
CPU Temp @ Load: 38*C
CPU Temp @ Idle : 30*C
RAM Settings: Auto

First Attempt:

FSB@140Mhz
Successfull boot to windows.
CPU Temp @ Idle : 31*C
CPU Temp @ Load :37*C
Ram Settings :FSBw/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-2-2-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :33*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:35*C
Stable :Yes
Voltage Settings :Factory Stock

Second Attempt:

FSB@145Mhz
Successful Boot to Windows
CPU Temp @ Idle :31*C
CPU Temp @ Load :37*C
Ram Settings :FSB w/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-2-2-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :33*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:35*C
Stable :Yes
Voltage Settings :Factory Stock

Third Attempt:

FSB@150Mhz
Failed to Post to Bios (two attempts)
CPU Temp @ Idle :*C
CPU Temp @ Load :*C
Ram Settings :FSB w/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-2-2-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:*C
Stable :
Voltage Settings :Factory Stock

think more Vcore would help?

Fourth Attempt: 150
Successful Bios Post; Failed Windows Boot
CPU Temp @ Idle :*C
CPU Temp @ Load :*C
Ram Settings :FSB w/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-2-2-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:*C
Stable :
Voltage Settings :Vcore 1.525

Fifth Attempt: 148Mhz
Successful Boot to Windows
CPU Temp @ Idle :31*C
CPU Temp @ Load :*C
Ram Settings :FSB w/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-2-2-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:*C
Stable :
Voltage Settings :Factory Stock

Sixth Attempt:150Mhz
Successful Boot to Windows
CPU Temp @ Idle :31*C
CPU Temp @ Load :38*C
Ram Settings :FSB w/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-3-3-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :33*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:35*C
Stable :Yes
Voltage Settings :Factory Stock

Seventh Attempt:155Mhz
(failed windows boot at stock vcore) successfull boot to windows
CPU Temp @ Idle :31*C
CPU Temp @ Load :38*C
Ram Settings :FSB w/ 3/4 divider trick Timings:2-3-3-6
Mobo Temp @ Idle :33*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:35*C
Stable : (not stable @ 1.525Vcore) Yes
Voltage Settings :1.55 Vcore 2.7 DDR Mem core

Eighth Attempt: 160Mhz
Will post to bios, would not boot to windows.
CPU Temp @ Idle :*C
CPU Temp @ Load :*C
Ram Settings :with 3/4 divider trick, and with divider set to 1/1 Timings:2-3-3-6; 2.5-3-3-7
Mobo Temp @ Idle :*C
Mobo Temp @ Load:*C
Stable : (not stable @ 1.525Vcore) Yes
Voltage Settings :1.575 Vcore 2.6 or 2.7 DDR Mem core

Seems I might get a couple of more Mhz out of this chip but not enough to really worry about. Now all that is left is to try and tweak out the memory Timing settings and see what I can get.

I won't bore you with those. I'll just add the final results to my sig
Final Results:
FSB @ 155Mhz; CPU clock @ 2789.19 Mhz; Ram @ 206.61 Mhz
Vcore @ 1.55 Memcore @ 2.6
Not bad for a first time OCing.
Let you know the timings when I do

If someone will tell me how to upload a screenshot I'll take one of my CPUID

Sounds like she's thirsty for some vcore ;)

(I mean, why not? :eh?: )

This is awesome dOOd :p

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

thanks And I agree, the sequal should turn out to be one hell of a game. Only problem I had was I got to one point in the game, figurured out how to get past it, and couldn't. Some sort of error in the software I think. I checked the cheat sites to make sure I was right and read the walk through regarding the place I had gotten to and turned out I was right, I just couldn't swim through the little hole that I was supposed to go down

Oh well, I have thought about seeing if a patch for the game came out and playing again.

Well, I am in the process of playing through it again, hopefully it was only a problem with the installation that I was playing with at the time, it would be rather upsetting to get to the same point again only to discover the same problem
