If anyone lvies around here or within an hour away..i need your help..i just moved down here from college and for some reason my computer is idleing at 50C instead of 42C using the athlon 2100+/retail heatsink..there is dust in the heatsink i can see..which sucks cuz my old house was dusty....the place im at now my mom likes it hot here...well i left my artic silver 3 at home and spray can...i want to take apart the heatsin and clean it out and also apply a fresh batch of artic silver 3...please help me out i cant order from newegg.com cuz i dont have a CC anymore..im willing to drive to pick it up..i will pay you for it if you like!Thanks :)

I think Fry's are only in California... CompUSA's are everywhere, though.

Worst case scenario...go to Radio Shack and get a tube of the white goop they call thermal grease, and use that until someone "at home" can mail you your AS3.

yeah i have a comp usa but they have crappy thermal paste so does radio shack..i need artic silver 3 for my baby :(

If your temps are really that bad, use what you can, until someone can send ya the good stuff. I know there's a bunch of members of ours down in Fla....hopefully one will jump in and hook you up.

Have someone mail you yours Monday, if possible. Put it in a bubble envelope, and send it USPS Priority... You'll have it in two/three days.

using a retial hsf sucks anyway get something else the temps seem fine to me since youre using the retail hsf

i was idleing at 42C Full load after 48hours/51C and the heatsink wasnt hot at all..when i first built my computer..i just need to clean out the heatsink and reapply as3.
