hehe, there's no such thing as a cheap PIII, i looked.

i'm just messing with this box, i'm definatly not going to use it for games. it's just a file server/folder. i'm just curious what it can do.

heh i love how it says your fsb is 0 MHz :D
try overclocking it some, it wont help drastically, but it might raise your score a few points. literally. ;)

i can't overclock it. it's a HP pavilion 6630, no overclocking options at all. i tried softFSB but i don't know what mother board is in here, it doesn't say anywhere on the MB. i don't think i want to overclock the V3 because they are very hot to begin with.

hehe, this setup is hopeless

I actually overclocked a compaq machine using softfsb once. The trick is to find the clock generator and copy down the numbers. It's usually the black IC next to the silver oscillator (looks like a small, elongated tin can with a 2 digit number, a decimal and another set of numbers-that's the frequency, by the way). Can't hurt to try!

when i take it apart to put a sound card in it i'll look, it's worth a try.
it uses stock cooling though, i'll be happy if it can do 566Mhz.
