I'm about to buy a system: 2.26P4b, etc etc
I'm probably going to get DDR ram with it because I'm not familiar with the RDRAM stuff so I'll probably get ripped off if I try to get some.

The idea is obviously to overclock the FSB to around 150fsb (or whatever it'll take without extreme measure), so I'll be needing some good memory.
The only stuff that's available is Corsair XMS, in 512MB sticks at 333 or 400Mhz. The price difference is 20$. Is the 400 faster? Do I need it to get up to 150+FSB on a P4?

Thanks for your replies ppl

Go with the 400, it has more oc ability than the 333

Even though you are only expecting a 150fsb, the chip may tolerate as much as 170. I would use a i845e board to get the most out of the chip, and they will allow you to run the memory faster than the fsb anyway. Even if you stop at 150fsb with 845e's 3:4 multiplier you can run the ram at 200. Well worth $20 to take advantage of the extra memory bandwidth available.

you can even get pc3500 corsair and hit 217fsb... or 162fsb with the 3:4 ratio.
