I just ordered the thermoengine with its stock fan and I know I'll probably have to replace it. Any ideas about something relatively quiet but a good performer?

Sunon, Sanyo Denki or possibly a YS Tech

the YS Tech Fan is very nice, moves a good bit of air and is a whole lot quieter.

YS-TECH ive been using one but the only problem is that it takes up alot of room in a slocket system

I'd have to go with the 26cfm YS-Tech also. An alternative would be to fashion an 80mm to 60mm adapter. You could get more air with a modest noise level.

Got a Sunon on mine, works great.
