I have this little 2.5" color handheld TV.
The only input on it is the antena.
Is there anyway to hook the TV out on my GF4 to this TV? I would love to get this thing into my case to display winamp stuff or temps and stuff or something.

That's probably a mini coaxial connection which you cannot convert to from RCA without an adapter of some sort.

you might be able to get an RF encoder module for about $5, add some other components and it might work if it's attached to the arial. Would requires some electronics knolwedge and soldering though.
Or a video transmitter unit.

Where could you buy a RF encoder?
i work in a cable company and they have loads of them modulators which change AV Comp. input to RF of any frequency. Them lot are expensive though ($200). You might want to buy something less sophisticated such as the digi-sender (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.nikko-sa.es/nikko-sa/digi_sen.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3Ddigi-sender%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8) Them wouldnt be soo much you can change the frequencies with a dipswitch. You could probably get them in most electronics shops ask for a Comp==-->> UHF OR VHF they would know what to do (alltachment to see how to connect) RED= Cable going from the centre of output plug on the modulator to the tip or a part of your antena or just directly into the tv(GREEN) it needs to be a coaxial cable they should know in the store :D good luck should work i used to play N64 in the boarding house like this with chewing gum as an insulator and soldering equipment IT worked fine :D:D:D:D just couldnt move the tv and if someone walked too fast it used to go wierd :D
pic the BLACK ting is the digisender :D

actually I have somthing more like this in mind
http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=LM3850&CATID=&keywords=modulator&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=xxxxxxxxxx&Keyword2=xxxxxxxxxx&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=
17 australian $ but you wouldn't want a PAL version anyway, I have no idea what electronics supply places you have in the US but radio shack may be the go.

Get one off a commodore 64 or a sega, the pinouts are on the web, you'll need to give it volts probably.
Back in the day, we called these TV modulators.
on 2.5 ins, you are not going to be able to read anything though.

Thanks everyone!
I think I still have one from an old system! woot!
I think I'm gonna take the TV apart and mount it in my case.
It won't show much, but it'll still be neat :)
edit:
Hmmm...
The TV runs off 6 volts DC at about .55A.
I wonder if the 5V line would work...
Or should I buy a cheap 6V PS for it alone. (have one somewhere, but it would take me years to find).

Woohoo!
I found a dreamcast RF modulator! I know the pinouts, so its just a matter of rewiring it for RCA input and putting that on the back of my case so my vid-out can easily be plugged into it and/or unplugged and put on something else.
I also found the 6V 550mA PS for the TV, yeah!

coolness!
Maybe you could rip another console part though, an "RF Switch" and save yourself the wear on your socket. A mechanical one should work fine for composite video and be the right impedance and everything. Wire it to another phono/RCA socket on a spare blanking plate. You could do two, so you could pass through RF out too, after the modulator, so you can easily wire it to an older TV.

edit: just an aide memoire, most of the time you'll find console pinouts given as from the port on the console, so if your pinout for the modulator is like that then you'll need to remember it's the mirror image at the plug.
