View Full Version : Air, Water Wetter, AintiFreeze, and me?

so, after my latest block additions, Maze 3 and home made hdd cooler, I needed to re-fill my system. I decided to go heavy on both the water wetter, and antifreeze to inhibit corrosion in my system now filled with one of just about every common metal . in re-filling the system, as usual, there are bubbles in it. however, the WW/antifreeze seem to be working against me. because I've destroyed the surface tension in the water by adding those items, bubbles move EXTREMELY fast in my system now. they follow a well defined set path and dont swirl at all. this becomes a problem because that path does not go anywhere near the top of my T fitting that I have been using as an air trap.

so the question is, if the bubbles arent sticking anywhere, including the radiator, blocks, tubes, you name it, these babies fly, does it matter if they are in the system at all?

thanks for the oppinons guys

usually if you pinch the line closed just past the t, you can slow down the flow enought for the air bubbles to have time to rise up there. at any rate, i wouldn't want to just leave them in there, they should eventually all work themselves out.

i think like he said even in time the bubles will get worked up just due tp te oxygen content of the liquid.

eh?

are you going into subzero temps? if not ditch the antifreeze and just use water wetter. also those bubbles are taking the space of water which would obsorb more heat :)
