Hi,

I just bought a P4533-R Asus board that has the 2 extra IDE RAID channels to set up a Raid configuration. The only problem I've been seeing at least with only one hard drive connected (I get the second one tonight) is that when trying to load XP, it can't find the hard drive.

Is this because those channels must have 2 hard drives connected in order to work? I could see the single hard drive alone it from the fdisk side which really confused me.

Anyone?

You have to hit F6 to load third party SCSI or RAID drivers during the initial load process. You'll need them on a FDD.

How did you setup the BIOS & the RAID BIOS?

Well you need to read you manual on how to setup the boot sequence when installing & how to setup the RAID BIOS for only 1 HDD. It's all there really.

Actually there was one thing missing I found out when I called tech support.

You have to install a 3rd party driver taken from the motherboard cd, and transfer it to a floppy during the winxp installiation.

Its a good thing I called.

You mean "Press F6 to install SCSI or RAID Driver" when installing W2K/WXP wasnt covered in the manual?
