Ok heres the deal. I have a 15 gig drive right now and i just bought a 40 gig drive and i wanna move my whole 15 gig drive onto the 40 gig drive so it will use the 40 gig as my c: drive so i can get rid of the 15 gig drive.

Most Hard drive manufactures provide utility programs to do that, for maxtor drives it's call maxblast

If you have less data currently on your HDD than free space on a network drive, then you can use the backup program to back everything up to that location, swap drives, install windows and then restore. This is somewhat roundabout, though. I'd try to find something like what toastedzergling suggested first; it'd be much easier, faster, and more viable.

I got a similar Question- if i bought a new hard drive, could i transfer al my data over (obviously YES) but my current HD has got Windows ME Pre-installed (its an OEM system).
could it be possible to transfer the windows to my new HD? as i wasnt supplied with a CD (well, i was- but only to clean install from the drive)

You can get a program such as Norton Ghost. This copies an exact image from one drive to another. It can be something of a godsend.
