Hello,
I am looking to upgrade my system. Currently it is a Celeron 366 running at 458 with 384MB of SDRAM. I would like to upgrade to a dual AMD system but don't know what parts to buy, mainly a mobo and RAM. I do want to overclock and would like to buy and unlock some XP chips. Please give me some guidence on what are good products.

Thanks,
Axlecrusher

i will now guide you to the search button on the upper right hand side of the screen and say "spend a few quality hours" and you will see the light. Or at least be able to ask specific questions.

I will mostly be using this machine for college, gaming, and crunching for overclockers seti team  . I would like to spend under $1000, the cheaper the better.

MSI kd7 master is the only dual board I know with OC options.

Get a big PSU. 450+watts, Antec's a good brand.

2 XP 1600+'s if you want to save some money. But you'll also need silver lacquer or auto window defogger to unlock the cpu's SMP capability. Or get MP's if you don't feel like altering the cpu's. They have unlocked multiplyers too, but may not overclock so well.

Glaciator 2's are petty good heatsinks- powerful, quiet, and easy to install/remove.
