Hi to all readers,
I'm new to water cooling and I though I was going to get great performance out of iceberg 1 complete wc system, I was wrong, the performance is just like a fan without the noise,
so here I go,
I have a few questions regarding about I new setup I want to try to put together, and would like sugestions please...
I have dicide on:
wb: DD MAZE3 or Swiftech MCW462-U
wp: EHEIM 1250 inline pump 110/120V - 317 GPH
tubeing: 1/2" instead of 3/8" which I have now
radiator: black ice or heater core which ones would fix on the front bottom of a thermaltake case 6000 series, would one that is 12"*12" be too much!
do i need a T or Reservoir, can it work without either, was thinking on taking the bubles by putting one line under water and then inticking it so make sure all bubles where out!
I hope this is not too much to ask, any help would be helpful,
right now I have a a7v333 2200+@181*11=1991 iddle 43c,
load 48c

Not sure about your case, the heatercore at www.dtekcustoms.com is a good one with barbs, get 2 shrouds if you can fit them. If you go for the Swifty, get the UH version with the 1/2" barbs, not the U, it is for 3/8" OD tubing. I have used all these blocks, they perform VERY similar. You might consider the dtek TC-4 as well. Just make sure that whatever block you get, GET A METAL TOP! Trust me on this one. I have a copper top maze3 in my sytem right now, I like it. A T line is the way to go IMO. Easy to fill and bleed, jsut make sure you cap it so the system is air tight.
hey nunez1980,
I too recently purchased the Iceberg system. At first I was seriously disappointed (burned up my Athlon 1.33) :(
my thread: http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=131274
However, I am not decently satisfied with the system. I agree the pump is tiny, the block appears to be low-qual and the raditor, although looks cool, is tiny. The resivor might be a bit small as well. But hey, for $100 it is a nice alternative from the '40-50dba jet-fans in my ear' cooling solution :)
I plan on upgrading soon too. I just added the Koolance video chipset cooler.
Next step is pump/rad - not sure what to do with the resivor or go T line.
Anyway - I am now down to a Duron 1100. Now I know the Durons run much cooler than the Athlons (and I believe my passed-on Athlon 1.33 was one of the hottest running recent AMD chips), but without overclocking and with my ambient temps around 24-26º my CPU temps were 32-36º.
Currently, I have that Duron 1100 OC'd to 1333 and my temps:
cpu-38º (idlish) system-26º. And if I put in a drop of ice in the res then I can get it down to 34º and it will stay there for a few hours.
I am not sure if you already returned the Iceberg or not - but good luck with it if you can tweak it (report back!) and if you are back to air, well then good luck with the new WC system.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!
If you are new to watercooling then i would point you to www.antony26.karoo.net it is a good comprehensive guide that should tell you what you need to know.
Also there are a few threads on reservoirs. Use the search bar and you should find what you need.
Good luck to you

the reason to have something like a T in the line, IMO is so that you can add water, and addatives at will with relative ease. this is definitely the way to go. as far as the other components, try and keep a uniform tube size, and something with a metal top and you should be golden

If a may offer a suggestion,
The poly topped blocks have proven to be troublesome (search for waterblock leak or crack), especially for new-comers to watercooling, I would suggest a soldered waterblock. \
Since I have yet to hear of a failure in a soldered waterblock, I think you should skip the DD Maze3 and look at their other coolers or look at the lagged edge at www.liquidcooling.com

It is also used as a bleed line to get rid of bubbles in the system. I have a full article on t-lines coming up in a few days... should answer most questions.
