mine is built by ATI
its the LE model and one my friends is saying that i have the "light" edition card....

I do believe the LE does have some settings that are scaled back compared to the 'normal' Radeon 8500. I don't know the exact things that are affected though.

the LE is clocked slower, 230/250 if I'm not mistaken...

The LE can be as slow as 230/175 :(

An Example is the Crucial 8500LE its clocked at 250/175:eek:

"LE LE's" as they are called can be @ 230/175 (usually the non-Built By ATI cards I think) like SSS said, or the regular LEs are 250/250 (usually the Built By ATI cards).

Only the crappiest LEs (the only ones ive heard with these stats) are 230/175......most LEs including most made by companies other than Ati are 250/250 and there are also a couple 230/250 ....mine came at 250/275.....regular 8500s are 275/275

Yes, most LE's are clocked @250/250, while some are lower, some are 250/275. Usually excellent overclockers, however. Never heard of one not being able to overclock to stock speeds.
