My friend is having overheating problems with his stock Gig Hz thunderbird. He isn't overclocking it and doesn't plan on doing so no matter how I try to convince him. I was wondering if the vollcano2 would be enough for him. He doesn't want to spent much money on it and doesn't want anything with a delt fan. You should have seen his reaction the first time he heard my delta fan on my fop38.

I think it is. Or you can try and convince him to buy a Millennium Thermal Copper Glaciator. :)

should be more than enough, depending on your ambient temp. i have a tbird 900 clocked at 1 ghz with the volcano 2 on it and it runs pretty nicely at an avg temp of 40c. not the best but i don't see smoke comin from the chip. i'll get the glaciator once i get up the money but for now this is workin quite nicely. i say go for it as long as he's sure he won't be doing any overclocking and it's relatively cool in his room.
