right, here is what i am thinking, i am going to watercool both my gforce4 and cpu on water, almost definitely gonna b on separate pumps. i'm gonna go external and submerged for both, i only have a nomal atx case wish i had a nice big server one...... but nm.
i have a space that is about 0.3x0.5x0.5m big to use as a resevoir [75litres] [16gallons]. now is that overkill on a resevoir size? if so what would u suggest for a resevoir size?
with a res that size would i really need a radiator? cos to raise the overall temp of 75litres of water [i.e. 75kgs] it is gonna take 4.2*75*1= 315kJ and with a processor and gforce 4 going at 0.2kJ/s [0.2kW] tops it is gonna take nearly 30mins to heat up. with a 20litre res it is gonna take 7mins to heat up 1 degree, and the water should lose that pretty quickly, right?
i'm also gonna b using a maze3 it seems, as it is gonna cost me more to ship a dtek block than the block itself costs dammit. and an ocpc atlantis block for the gforce4
atlantis on gforce 4 (http://www.coolhardware.co.uk/ocpc/atlantis/GF4/G4atlantis_rev2.jpg) (does it look ok?]
what sort of gph should i b looking for if i am only cooling the cpu or gforce4? i was gonna go for a pet shop/fountain kinda one, due to availability and links i have.
also, 75litres of DI water is gonna cost me a lot if i go for that much, u know those brita water filters, how good r they at filtering? would the water from taht+some methanol+water wetter/purple ice/other b good enough.
plus i am trying to keep all copper, so as to avoid any battery corrosion effect and use 1/2".
any comments/sugestions/etc etc very welcome, i want to get this right!!
thanx.
