there are two colors
1) the core (big metal thingy in the center)
2)That other stuff (around the core)
most cores are a red-green-black color that change depending on the angle you look at it
The other stuff is usually brown, but can be green, and black/gray for tbirds
Correct me if im wrong. . .

Some of the cpus (xp1600s at least) are green and some are brown. Here are a couple of pics so you can see the difference

a more important question might be what the colors indicate. I for one would like to know, seems kinda odd that they change colors in the middle of a batch, or work with two different colors for no reason

Maybe the people at AMD got bored one day and decided to make different colored chips? Maybe we'll see a neon green XP1600+ next month! :D

Well I got 2 2100Xp one green and one brown.
Got them from 2 different vendors and both are Agoia0213

Both unlocked rather easy. The green one on 2 trys and did the brown on one try.

Oh yeah, I'm one happy dude :D
