Whats the maximum watts that you can run off your mobo 3 pin connector to be safe? Or can all fans up to 120mm be run off that instead of a molex?

It varies from mobo brand to brand. The KT7 and KT7A claim they can handle .5A on each header. That's 6W at 12V. I have run fans rated at .45A on them with no problem.
