I strongly suggest a reservoir or a T-line to bleed off air. As far as the tubing goes, I suggest clearflex or tygon r-3603. These will make much tighter bends than vinyl without kinking; important if you are planning on putting it all inside the case. Tygon is much more of a pleasure to work with than clearflex or vinyl. Also, get some hose clamps to firmly attach your hoses over the barbs to prevent leaks. Otherwise, it looks good. Good luck!

On a second note, make sure you buy 1/8" wall tubing and not 1/16". The 1/8" will bend tighter radius without kinking. So what you're looking for is Tygon 1/2" ID x 1/8" wall. Also once you get either block check the bottom for flatest. Some are reporting bottoms that are not flat and need to be lapped. You only need a T fitting inline, no need for a RES.

It’s obvious that you have been reading and have made wise choices in the equipment you plan to buy.

tks for u guys' reply!

well, yes, i'm gonna go for the tygon tube, but any idea where to get them? as the rest of the stuffs, where has a good price?

also, i'm still not quite understand 'bout the t-line?? i know it's a t shape that connect to the tube in both end. but in between which parts w/in the wc system? and how 'bout the top part of the t-line?? where does it go or how to get it bleed the air out? do i connect it to some sort of a switch opener/cap?? if so, where to get them??

also for the clamp, i know you guys won't really recommend those plastic clamp that some place sell. but where can i find those metal clamp?

www.aquastealth.com has 3/32" wall tubing for $2.65/ft. www.usplastic.com has the same for 2.13/ft and it has 1/8" wall 1/2" tubing for 2.91/ft. (search for r-3603)

Place the T-Line in between the water block and the pump. The best tubing routing of a system should be, pump outlet to inlet heatercore, outlet heatercore to inlet water block, outlet water block to inlet T, outlet T to inlet pump. The T fitting that is open goes to the top of the case with a cap on the end. You will fill and bleed air from this T. Once all air is out of the system you will cap it off. It may take a few days to get all the air to travel from the system and out the T.

I use 3/8 ID Tygon because the ID of all fittings is 3/8". Its a little work stretching the tubing over the 1/2" OD fittings, but you will have a system that is 3/8" through the entire system and I do not use hose clamps. I have to boil water and place the end of each tube in the water to make them soft and then push the tubing over the barbs. Once on they do not come off.

Yes, boiling water or another source of heat will make it easy to put a small hose diameter on a large barb. And while I agree that the hose will probably not come off, I know of someone who fried a $300 video card because he didn't use hose clamps. They are probably not necessary, BUT............

where could i find that cap put on top on the T-line??

also, i thought --> from the water block --> heatcore --> pump --> water block again?!

Buy another 1/2" brass barb and slide it onto the other end of the T-line, also buy a matching threaded cap. Any hardware store.

1) http://www.cooltechnica.com/
seems to have good WC stuff, nice kits with generic heatercores, swiftech block, and ehiem pumps starting at $170.

2)http://www.aquastealth.com/

normal WC stuff, heatercores, pumps etc. BUT, has the best connectors / clamps / hoses / size adapters I have seen. They have the tygon r-3603 that caffinehog suggests.

3) http://www.dangerden.com/welcome.htm
Again, good generic heatercore based kits, has both the tygon and clearflex tubing.

4) <side note> Great howto articles and reviews here:

OK all, let us know if you have better / cheaper / additional places for good watercooling parts.

Thanks much!

Hey SHARK, I just saw this thread too, and bumped it up, aptly titled "Where to get water cooling supplies" by Caffinehog. Looks like a helpful thread to me. :)
