While I congratulate you on your accomplishment, I just want to point out that this is nothing new and that the digital doc was designed for exactly this kind of thing.

I'm currently running 2 temp sensors on my cpu, one at either end. I didn't have to trim the wires any becuase the ones that came w/ the digital doc 3 that I own were long enough. I did however trim the plastic infront of the smd temp device like you suggested. I also use a fine tape to tape the units into place before I install a waterblock or HSF unit. This way, I can remove cpu @ will and still use the same probes in different configs.

The digital doc is an awesome beast with the capability to monitor up to 8 probes and 8 fan speeds. Perfect for monitoring 2 75GXPs, a GF2 GTS, Water Block, Radiator, CPU, Ambient and or Water Temp.

Just my 2 cents.
