well just to get it out thier, i've read a lot of post where people say that they have overclocked there video card as far as powerstripe would go. well thats not true. if your one of those people who feel if powerstripe would let them go higher then this post is for you.

Well you already have the slider as far as i could go, but you want more. it's simple set everything default. then overclock your card slightly like 5 mhz. then right click on the powerstrip icon in your task bar. go to options, then preferences, then click on the button that says Quick setup. this takes you to a screen that gives your video cards name and specs. there is a button that says rescan. press it. this will make Powerstripe rescan your video cards default clock speeds. But when it scans it it's 5 mhzs higher then default, so it will think that the default speed is really 5 mhz higher then it really is. This will allow you to overclock 5 mhz higher then befor.
if you still wish to go higher just set the clockspeed higher when you rescan.
BUT I MUST WARN YOU, if you set your default clockspeed to high when the system goes to reboot, your video card may freeze. and in this case you would have to go into safe mode and change it back.
Well i hope this helps.

I like Rivatuner better, more adjustments, hardware level overclocking, and no annoying start up screen. Plus the Memory speed slider for my 4200 128mb tops out at 670 MHz (444 MHz default). Of course I only have it at 530 MHz, but it's nice to know it's there.

yea i found this out with my old tnt2 it would overclock way over the allowed levels. so after playing around with it i found that you could do this.

also remember the highest overclock to your memory does not yield the best performance gain, it can and usually will reduce performance..

Nice find, though I only use Powerstrip for my refresh rate lock and I use RivaTuner for my OC. Keeping that in mind though. thx

another way si to overclock your card a little and then delete the powerstrip.ini or something like that, and ther run powerstrip, it will detect your card as it was new with the overclock as default speed, so you have more in the slide

All you have to do is do is double-click the icons under the sliders and a box will come up saying "Enter a maximum as percentage of default"

The default setting is 133, meaning you can oc ur card to 133 percent of stock speeds.

Set it to 200 and you can set it up to twice the stock speeds, for example.

Easy:D
