mag drive comments

just looking for comments on mag drive water pumps. i have heard that they are loud and have a good sized magnetic radius. am thinking about using one or two on a bong style cooling system.

If Mag Drive is a brand name I have no experience with them. If you're referring to mag drive as a pump type as in magnetic drive, I have a MAXIJET 1200 (295GPH) that is silent.

There Danner Mag Drive pumps. I've got a magdrive2(250) its great and you can't hear the hum over your fans.JUST be sure place a piece of foam under it or it will vibrate through your whole case! the foam will make the noise non-existent.Also, the mag field has not hurt me. I saw an experiment where a guy put a floppy on top of his and retrieved the data two days later! I played it safe and mocved my HD as far away as I could. Don't forget that hum and mag field get you 250gph with a max of 7 feet lift!! that is way higher than any pump near that price.
