While at a customers house today I happened to notice Seti running on 2 different machines. IMMEDIATELY I asked who he crunched for....."who" he asked......"yea...what team?"

"Team?"

"You ARE on a team right?"

"oh no...I started this years ago before teams even began"

[excited look] Would you be interested in joining a team? One of the best teams (ranked 26 in the world in fact) for the cause?[/excited look]

"I'd consider it....who's the team?"

Let me show you a nice site called Overclockers.com....they have some wonderful people there. =)

Hopefully you guys just gained a new Cruncher with years of WU's built up!

Sorry folks....didn't catch his name to check his stats....but if he's been crunching for years (and from what I saw he's pretty serious about it since he had 2 rigs running at the time) he may be a nice bonus to the team.

Keep your fingers crossed that he joins. =)

Cool Shadow, Thanks for sharing that with us. Too bad you didn't get what account he was crunching under. Hopefully he will join our team. So what do you do anyways, computer repairs?

That would be a nice addition! Can't believe that someone has done crunching for that long, and doesn't belong into a team!

Yeah... But then again, some people are "set it and forget it" folks. I ran SETI for nearly a year before joining a team, and then another 6 months I think before joining you guys. But 3 years of crunching alone would build up a TON of work units (even if it were on my Celeron, he'd get a couple thousand built up).... That's awesome!

I joined the team not so long ago after running Seti for close to 3 years. I had set up my own team with 2 colleagues, but they dropped out of the race within a few weeks.
I have been a reader of www.overclockers.com for a looooong time, and one day, I decided to check the forum as I wanted to upgrade my A7V+Duron to something better.
I disbanded my team and joined.

Great job shadow

I tried recruiting one of comcasts tech the other day also. Another seti fan. I had forgoten a password and just asked him out of the blue if he knew of seti and it turned out he had 2 systems crunching. I directed him to this sight, but have not seen him as of yet. He may have been steered away because it was during the middle of the forum dispute.
