Nvidia has released thier AGP 8x GF4's? When did this happen?

ya, they did awhile ago, but the ti4200's are about the same price :\

Ok, as of right this second, 8x AGP won't give you night versus day results. When DOOM3 and all those other "oh-my-god-this-is-sick-it-looks-f%$&ing-real" games that will bring almost any system to its knees come out, different story...........*whew*

Not to knock nVidia or anything (i had a Gf3Ti500, built a new system, NV30 wasn't out, got a 9700pro)...........but why put 8x AGP on the MX series???? I mean, I heard the Gf3Ti500 could beat them (at least the lowest Gf4MX). That's like putting a nitrous and a turbo on a 1911 Model-T; yeah it'll give you a performace boost, but look what it is you trying to soup up.

ya, i know, that is exactly what i was thinking
