I don't know if this should be in the mem section or in the video card one.
Here we go anyway:

I have a P4 2.4 (stock for now), an abit BD7-II and a 512 MB DDR333 module Samsung (350W PS).

By default, the memory is detected as DDR266 (because of the 845E chipset).
I did the 1:1 -> 3:4 trick and the RAM run a DDR354 with 2.7V.
It was stable.

However, after installing a Ti4200 this WE, it keeps crashing while playing. If I set the memory back to DDR266, it's fine.

I should also say that it only crashes (it returns to the windows desktop) while playing games or doing 3d benchmark.

I can run sandra memory bandwith bench without problem for hours but I can't play 3d games for more than 10min, neither can I run 3dmark2001 (failed on test 6-7 of 13).

Does the mem settings affects in any way the AGP bus settings?

Any idea ?

Thanks,

Jn

I think the problem is fixed.
I tried to move the mem module to different slots -> make the pc more unstable.

It works by boosting the cpu voltage at +5%, even if the cpu is not overclocked (yet!).

Now, it's stable with a Ti4200, DDR333@354 - 2.7V, [email protected] - +5%V.

3dmark2001SE score: 10005 (not to bad for a first try).
