I can't find it on the approved list, but it's reputed to be a really good heatsink. Does anyone know if it is approved or if it soon will be?

I doubt it will get approval because it uses a clip and exceeds the 300 gram weight limit. It's too bad too, because it's one of the best out there.

what does it matter if it is apporved? are there benefits for it being approved? (just got a friend to order the glaciator for his first amd system ;-)

I put about as much faith in AMD approval of anything as I do in the weather forecast. I've simply seen too many contradictions in cooling solutions, power solutions and mobos from AMD.

I guess it doesn't matter if it's approved. I already ordered 2 of them for my Tbirds. If one of the Tbirds dies and I want to get it replaced under the warranty, don't I have to show that I was using an AMD approved heatsink?

A while back they removed Abit MBs from the approved list. That was pretty funny too. :)
