Phase Change?

Can someone explain the basics of phase change to me? From what I can gather, it involves using extremely cold gases to cool the PC, correct?

It uses a liquid that has a very low boiling point.When it boils off it turns into a gas.

Hmm, so sticking your rig in a refrigerator would be a form of phase-change cooling, then?

its some special process that uses different components that are somewhat similar to a watercooling.

A refrigerator IS phase change.

hmm well vapochill systems claim to be phase change cooling and ive heard many people say that it has certain similarities.
for example it has a radiator/condenser

Well these people you speak of are dumbasses.A condenser doesnt just radiate heat, it pressurizes the refrigerant and cools it to turn the vapor into a liquid.Then the liquid is metered through a device such as capillary or a TXV into the low pressure evaporator.This low pressure zone causes the refrigerant to boil, the lower the pressure the lower the temperature as long as the evaporator is saturated with boiling liquid.

Same thing with water.You put water into a container and pull it down to a vacuum of 29 in. and it will boil at 70f.Need to read those links I posted to find out how it works....
