Win98 prob

when I load up windows 98 it comes up with about 4 error messages (i will post what they say later if needed)

Today I went into msconfig and turned Everything off(about 10 programs which try to open on start but give error messages, and i dont think i ever downloaded them) So I untick everything but each time I click apply changes it turns

back on, which it turn reticks;


Scrsvr C:\windows\ScrSvr.exe

Alevir C:\windows\Alevir.exe

Any Help would be welcome, this is ****ing me off

couldnt u also just rem out / delete the entries in autoexec.bat and the boot files, then reboot go in delete the virused files by hand...i used to do that all the time with poorly written virsuses that would infect my system many many years ago. Just a thought...im sure norton will clear it right up
