Feeling pretty good guys , today I found some time to fiddle. So first thing I did was install a new sink fan onto my 8500LE, a unit I bought from SSS that was all customized to fit the 8500.

I applied some ASII on the gpu and then affixed it via Arctica Alumina Adhesive. Next I overclocked my 1600 to 1744 using 166fsb. I have an unlocked 1600 to test next but this one for the test was locked.

I was happy to see with new cooling my 8500 will run rock solid at 310/306, I think this puppy will do 315/315, that will be the next test, I may add some ram sinks to the BGA mem.

Anyways with the cat 2.3 drivers I have broke 10,000 pts, pretty darn good for this 8500.

I am gonna upload a pic of this beautifully modded card soon as I can, LOL

Thanks, I want to try and get to 10,500 I think I can once i lower the multi and up the fsb. I am surprised at how high the core can go 310, I am gonna give 315 a whirl and see if mem can do same.

Congrats on the great OC. Just make sure you don't kill the card trying to push too far.

you got that right, I do not need to spend money on a new vid card yet, plan to keep this card around for my wifes pc once the 9500 PRO comes out and I build her system......
