hey man.. i just got p4 2.4 and 512 samsung pc2700.. i cant get the rams speed to run at 333... it always stay at 266.. i dunno wat to do.. i got a gigabyte board 845e..

well pc2700 is 166mhz... i doubt your 2.4 can do that kinda speed.
as far as changes not staying... are you adjusting this in bios? if so make sure you save your changes.
and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS
if your 2.4 is an A series you will not even come close to 166fsb since that would be almost 4ghz.
if its a 2.4b then 2.9ghz is more achievable but not automatic.
try inching up the fsb and see where you get before it doesnt work anymore then back off a little.
