I'm finally back up, this time with a 1.2/266 tbird at 1440 (currently for temp testing) with a kt7a (the company I rma'd my kt7 sent me this one in replacement!). I just installed my first water-cooling system today and so far am impressed. Full load I'm running at 40oC however (there's always a however) I see bubbles in the lines. I am running the becooling kit with waterblock->radiator->reservoir/pump with water wetter and distilled water. How can I get rid of the air in the lines and are my temps normal? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. Water wetter smells like cat urine!

Those tiny bubbles should eventually go away. They should / will collect in the reservior. Mine do after about 2 days.

Yeah, they'll get pushed out eventually or get dissolved in water.

Okay, thanks. Now for the bad news. My clip holding the water-block on snapped the lug off the socket and now I've got a dead tbird probably.

the bubles may also indicate a small leak in the line that is sucking in air

Aw man! When are manufacturers ever going to learn. I realize air cooled HSFs play to the mass markets and hence, we are stuck with the POS clip system, but water cooling has but one target market. How much more cost would it add to a block to make it utilize the four motherboard holes, like the DD Maze2?

Yeah, there's a small leak somewhere in the seal on the reservoir block. My tbird is toast. I've got my trusty old DUron 650 in there now and it's at 1100@2.0v It hovers at 48oC full load so heat isn't too bad on it. I'm really pissed about the lug breaking off. At least the becooling clamp is adjustable so I've got it mounted at a diagonal (probably how it was supposed to be in the first place). I'm going to call the local shop where I got my tbird and see if they'll rma it. If not I'm gonna be pissed.
