I can't wait much longer guys before i go completely bazerk...when are the new ATI 9700, 9500pro, and 9500's coming out!!!

I need FSAA + AA at 1024 x 768 with 32 bit colors and maxed out graphics for Medal of Honor and Battlefield 1942. My PCI geforce 2 mx 400 is NOT keeping up with the games i want to play. The reason i dont want a geforce 4 ti 4200 is because these new ATI's perform better and i want to try something new...this is my first ATI card. :)

So can someone give me a release date for these cards. If they are available now please post a link to the online store. I sure hope you can help me out :burn: Thanks

When you say "new" do you mean the new version of the 9700, because it's been out for a month now? Look at Newegg (www.newegg.com) and do a search. They are in the neighborhood of $360 for Retail.

xbiker321,

The last I heard, the release date of the 9500s and the 9700(Non-Pro) had been set for last half of November (November 17, I think).

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm ready to buy a video card NOW!. Even my wife is telling me to stop messing around with that old 32MB Radeon LE, and " just buy a new video card!".

Unfortunately, ATI still doesn't have anything of interest to me in the $120 - $220 price range. I refuse to spend over $300 on a 9700 Pro, and I don't want to deal with an 8500 LE or 9000 Pro that could possibly be obsolete within a year.

I can understand ATI waiting to release the 9500's to finish the new PCB, but I see no reason for the delay of the 9700 (non-pro) as the only difference between the 9700 (non-pro) and the 9700 Pro is the clock speed.

I may be a devoted fan of ATI video cards, but Nvidea GF4s are starting to look real good right now.

Let me clear this up guys, i dont want to spend over $300 for the 9700pro...just like Morpheusman doesnt. Thats why i am really excited about the 9500, 9500pro and 9700 (non Pro) :)
