can't get on server

Ok Im running windows xp and the server at my office is running windows nt. I don't know if thats the problem or not but anyways when I try to log on to the server it acts like I entered the password wrong it just pops up and gets me to enter it over and over again. Does anyone know whats wrong? I can see everyone else on the network just fine and they are running windows 98.

Have you joined the NT domain? What user name and password are you using? Make sure that the username is valid on the domain/nt machine.

(ie you can logon as "domain\username"or "MachineName\username")
example
username: microsoft\administrator
password: admin
