OK, so here's a blatant idea ripped off from [H]'s frontpage this morning. At your Reality Check event apparently there are nametags that you wear. We should identify ourselves!! On the bottom write O/C and your username (the one you use here of course). Maybe we'll stumble upon each other!! Cool idea, huh? :D
Which one you attending ? :) Gonna hit up the chi-town one myself, anyone else gonna be there ?

Hopefully there will be plenty of free swag for all. It's the evening of 11/21 in Minneapolis, I think.
For those of you wondering if you should go, YES, you get plenty of free stuff. I got away with a retail xp2100+ and 2 T-shirts.
Also, do not eat before going to the event. I was severely disappointed to stumble across the buffet with a previously filled stomach.
I'm kinda hoping that the overclockers/Folding shirts will be here by then.....I'm hoping to wear one when I go. If not, I've got a nice AMD Athlon shirt I can wear....:D
I'll defintely put the ol' O/C on the nametag, either way....;)

You have two choices... since you have that OC logo on your case, get some long life car battery that never runs out and stick those huge 1000cfm fans at the back all controlled by the rheostat and have a steering wheel :D That is powering your rig too!

I signed up for the Brooklyn event, but now I'm not so sure if i'll even be in town. But if I do make it I'll be sure to wear the name tag.
They won't be coming to Dallas :(
Great idea, wish I thought of it. I went to the tour opener (San Diego) the other night. A couple hundred people, and nope! I didn't win anything. But it was fun.

I went to the table to sign up for the drawing for the quiz competition, but they stopped taking names as I got to the table. It was frustrating to watch those guys flounder with questions like "how many megs fit on a floppy?" or "how many megs fit on a cd-r" or "how many drives can you put on one ide channel" aghhhh! I knew every answer to every question, I would have wailed on that quiz. *sigh*

I live in SD and in Orange County. I'm a student at UCSD and still have a room at my parents house. I've got a place in Clairemont a few miles West of where the event was held.
And yes, I am already a member of your San Diego fishing forum if you were thinking of asking. I never go fishing though. Just had to harass you for that "Watch this thread" thread a while back.

Yes, I guess I have it coming for that big build-up and no delivery. I really did intend to pull it off, I already had everything but the video card when I posted that, and planned to do it within a couple of days. Then my whole world got turned upside down, then the pelagic species showed up a little early, and my bathroom needed redoing (still not done) and the place needed a paint job, and I got sent out of town, and blah blah blah. Sorry!
Now all I need to do is paint the case, put a quieter fan on the cpu, upgrade the vid card, get a new hdd to match the one on it now and make the raid work,...I may be looking at "countdown to 582" now. I wonder if I'm still locked at 499?

Yep, you live maybe 5-10 minutes away from me. I'm on Genessee and Balboa, just West of the 805. Before that, I lived in the most ghetto part of Pacific Beach, and before that, I was in Point Loma directly next to Sunset Cliffs.
At my parents house, I probably live some 15-20 mins away from Luie, but don't know exactly how far. You two are the only people I am sure of that are in the real Southern California. I think Uber-Phlubb and Dago live in the Southern area of California too, but too far from me to consider it Southern.
I may be going to the Boston event with my roommate who lives in Framingham cause my Thanksgiving break starts on the 23rd and the Boston event is on the 25th I will definatly be wearing some sort of Overclockers.com something wether(sp?) I write it on a shirt or on my nametag. Hopefully I can do it I would have so much fun and hopefully I would win something :):)

Good News! I have a deposition scheduled in Minneapolis on Thursday, so I might (unless something changes) get to go on Thursday evening!
