i guess i can call it a dead cpu

power led turn on
hdd led turn on
board led turn on
vid card fan are turning
board fan are turning
hdd is spinning
vid card works on other board (so it ok)
ram also
but i get a no signal entry on my screen
so i guess my conclusion i right cpu is dead

I have similiar situation. Right after I flashed my BIOS. Sometimes it wasnt just the CPU.... It might be the MB..... what I do is change the jumper on my MB to reset CMOS setting and then it boots great :burn:

I had the same thing happen this week. When I took my HS off I found that I fried my chip.

You don't have anything else in that computer do you? I had a 3com nic in my PC and that caused my computer to exhibit the same symptoms as you are having. Once I took it out, the computer worked fine. B4 I thought of this, I went through 2 cpu's. Now I have 2 extra ones. I am actually going home today and picking up a new nic to see if that makes a difference. The 3com nic still works in another computer though.
