Soooo, been reading the "battery effect" thread.

Here's my setup Maze 3 , Chevette Heatercore, Eheim 1048 with some water wetter. Everything else is PVc (plastic barbs and res.)

Question : How long do i have till my Chevette heatercore corrodes away enough to leak, ?
Also, what heatercores are totally copper and where to get them ?

This is one of the main reasons i am quite glad i built my own "EXOS" external watercooling setup. at least it won't spew on my computer's insides.

Dont worry. All copper components + antifreeze.
enjoy it

yup. you should be just fine with all copper. the battery effect only applies to systems with dissimilar metals, like copper and alluminum or steel, or something like that

But aren't the fins on the Chevette Heatercore aluminum ?
That doesn't do anything ?
If so cooooooooollllllll :)

you will start seeing it in like a month... so says dorrelco, he uses poly toppped AL blocks soemtimes i guess
its not much to worry about if its all copper and brass
