I've owned many Geforce cards since the ORIGINAL came out and I bought a Creative Labs Annihilator. Doesn't look like I'll be buying anything else anytime soon and just ordered a Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB.

Pretty nice OC with passive cooled GPU :p ? It's overclocked version so those stocks aren't even the actual stocks of 9600 gt (650/900/1625) Have to deal with this until summer when I'll buy gtx 560.

Interesting. So, not to be a whiner... :p
There's on GTX 460 ahead of me in the rankings with a reported memory speed of 4000. Impressive. :) That sounds to me like he either has quite a GTX460, or he doubled the memory speed twice. We're supposed to be reporting effective memory speeds, yes? So 1100MHz actual = 2200MHz effective?
mbentley
04-01-11, 12:39 PM
which exact entry are you talking about? the effective memory speeds for most gtx 460s are around 3600-3800...
your card should have an effective 4400 memory speed overclocked...

well i realize that your card isn't a mobile gpu. did a little more poking around and the 300 series actually looks to be OEM only or very close to OEM only. i currently do not have spreadsheet for the 300 series (yours is the first i have heard of on here). i will try to add one later. also, are you sure that there are only 16 stream processors on that card? seems awfully low but i could be wrong...

My buddy has one. His dad got it from a machine at work, or they were shipped cards to put in the machines at work.
It does indeed only have 16 stream processors.
Edit: GT310, 315, 320, 330, 340 and several 4xx series cards are OEM only (and some have OEM counterparts of normal cards that are clocked lower sadly)
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_family.html
Scroll down to products available in prebuilt (OEM) systems for the full list from nvidia, along with specs for most of them.

That 310 cames with some DELL rigs from my work, they don't need it and given to me (four in total).
The GeFroce 6200 that added at last was bought with an Athlon XP 2600+, old times :)

Wouldn't recommend overclocking laptop's, unless you want to fry some eggs on it.

Haha, I've been told about that :p. I'll just leave it then. It should run GTA 4 reasonably well though shouldn't it?

Well it should run it at medium-high settings, depending on your screen resolution or the resolution you prefer to play. Just don't use any AA or stuff like that :)

looks like you have your memory and shader speeds mixed up but no worries, i have them correct in the spreadsheet.

I see, my bad. Thanks for the correction. And I forgot to mention I have the 570 Superclocked, hence the higher stock clocks.

Post em up if you want. I highly doubt your cards are running at an effective memory speed of 8000 mhz. The memory speeds are quadrupled for the effective clock speed so an overclock from 4000 to nearly 8000 = certainly impossible.
I have updated the spreadsheet with any valid submissions.
Thanks for a complete submission.
No problem, my card is SLI though I was just letting you know it wasn't on the spreadsheet. I had a previous submission with my first 570, the second one I just posted is my second 570 :)
Excited to see how these babies torch some games :D
I'm curious about my ranking on the sheet with the second 570 lol

Thanks for the update.
You're right. Looks like the stock clocks are a bit off as according to Gigabyte (http://www.gigabyte.com/microsite/263/GTX560Ti-SOC.html), they should be:
Core Clock 1000 MHz
Memory Clock 4580 MHz
Shader Clock 2000 MHz
Looks like he hasn't been on here in a few months. I'll go ahead and remove his entry so Bakkoda, if you see this, could you please re-verfy your speeds as they seem to be off from what should be stock.

how to check the rankings:
the rankings can be found in two formats. the first is a microsoft excel 2003 spreadsheet. the second is a html converted spreadsheet.
- microsoft excel spreadsheet (http://www.mbentley.net/forums/oc/oc_forum_geforce_survey.xls) (backup mirror (http://home.mbentley.net/forums/oc/oc_forum_geforce_survey.xls))
- html spreadsheet (http://www.mbentley.net/forums/oc/oc_forum_geforce_survey.html) (backup mirror (http://home.mbentley.net/forums/oc/oc_forum_geforce_survey.html))
please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
The instructions to check the spreadsheet are found in the first post.
Unfortunately I am not able to add your card if you don't include all three of the core, memory and shaders speeds as it used them to calculate your rank. If you could get those, I will add your submission
But I have no shader clock?
Technically should be double though my core no? I'll fix it when I get a chance to use a computer
EDITED: I added in the shader clocks, it's supposedly the same as the core but I couldn't know for sure since Nvidia opted to remove it from me being able to actually check.

You can use GPU-Z (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/) to obtain your card's information.

I know I fixed my numbers above, but there is no shader in GPU-z due to Nvidia setting that up that way with the Kepler architecture. Can I get on the list now?
Not mine just an example

Ah right, I see what you're saying. I think that I will just be recording boost clocks instead of shader speeds for the latest cards. Sorry for the confusion.
mbentley
06-22-12, 06:10 AM
Hmm I haven't paid much attention to the latest nVidia technology... Would it be relevant to capture the boost clocks and shader?
I'd say yes for boost clock, but the shader clock being linked to core clock, is it still necessary?
mbentley
06-22-12, 06:14 AM
That is what I was considering... It does not really make sense to record the shaders with them just being double the core speed as that information is just easy enough to calculate in the formula.
*edit: Also, are boost clocks adjustable? I haven't overclocked a video card in forever :p

OK, so I've got it figure out what I am looking for here. I am no longer interested in shader speeds at all since they are basically irrelevant here.
Badbonji, I am assuming that you have this card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130768) so that would make your memory clock speeds off since stock is 6008 (6008/4 = 1502).
FM2125, I believe your card should have a stock memory speed of 6008 (6008/4 = 1502) as well.
Would it be possible for you guys to verify your speeds for me with GPU-Z because they both seem to be off. I am going to be using the speeds listed in GPU-Z and not effective speeds due to them being extremely large with these newer cards.

I've also updated the first post to include the proper information and and updated example of what I am looking for.

How is the Keplar Boost being factored in? The 6 series has boost and then an additional Keplar Boost. Since KB varies from card to card the number you see in GPU-Z's main tab and other programs is not really accurate at all. The only way to see your true speed is using a monitor graph.
My card is set to 1210 core in GPU Tweak, but the monitor window shows me boosting to 1358. Not only that, but to really show a solid OC the card has to stay at those speeds. It will dip and drop if you exceed the power limits. So, without showing a monitor graph with a clock speed being sustained it's not really apples-to-apples to make comparisons.
Are we supposed to list our boost speed or our KB boost speed? I did both, but only the boost speed is showing in your table.

That is currently not factored in. To be honest, I haven't really kept up with newer video cards at all so I don't know what sort of a number value to assign to a KB boost speed. This is actually the first I have ever heard of KB if that tells you anything :p

after seeing this, i decided to push. Thanks jason for the tips. more to come, but FINALLY my 680 is performing as it should.
