Finaly got myself some Arctic Silver 2 today. I took off my Alpha and lapped it down with 1500 grit and then put on the Arctic Silver 2. Dropped my core temps from 42C to 35C. Now if I can just hit 1Ghz I'll be really happy.

Hot Dang!! That's some serious improvement, in the league of water cooling. It's hard to determine whether the gains you report are due mostly to lapping alone, or Arcric Silver2 alone, but it's probably a good marriage of both. If I remember correctly, those reviews I've seen on Arctic Silver vs. the other thermal interface materials puts AS about 2 or 3'C below normal silicone/zinc oxide grease at most...
