I know every temp reading is really wrong, but this is crazy:

I use MBM for temp reading usually, but...

I was fooling around with my pc: just have a new case etc. so decided to pump up temps...
got to 39°C, not cool, but hey not really bad either...
I rebooted, enetred my bios: 48° this really much hotter, but which is least wrong?
Can I correct it, and which temp should i consider the right one?

well the 39C was that idle or full load? And what HSF are you using?

Make sure you have MBM reading the correct chip on the motherboard. If you goto MBM site he lists what chips should be used. I suspect if your BIOS reades 48 C and you MBM reads 39 C then you probably have Motherboard temp and CPU temp mixed up in MBM.

I have a pIII 666@750 with some fake Golden Orb-thing (it really sucks, I'm getting a new one soon)

temp with MBM was at FULL load

and my motherboard temp is only 32°C
