How much does one pelt installed on a water cooled system affect the temperature. what are the advantages/disadvantages of them?

The effect will depend on the size of the pelt. For T-birds 156 - 172 Watt seems to be the recommendation.

Advantages are lower temps.

Disadvantages are condensation and power consumption.

Also something you should not forget is that you need to protect against condensation, because when the temps go below ambiant the air around the processor is gonna start to condence and then you have dropplets of water. Just something you should think about, cause even though it drops the temps down it also brings a huge problem with condensation
