o no this is bad!
i lost my case!!
i am gonna format window tonight n i want to play wc3 later on but now i got no key to go on bnet?!?!!?!?
i found a KeyGrabber that tries to find the CD-Key currently using but it wont work for 1.4
plz i need help n i want to play!!!!

Talk to Blizzard about it. Phone their customer service line, and tell them that you've lost your key. For $10 they will send you a new one.

if he didn't format yet then the key is still in the registry. all he has to do is fond the right registry key.

anyone know where this is?

EDIT: i've been meaning to install WC3 again. i'll install it and see if i can find the key in the registry. if i can i'll post where to look :)

I searched my registry, and couldn't find anything pertanent. It's pro'lly in there, I'm just not looking hard enough.

I don't think it's warez. He was going to use the program for a legitimate purpose: To find his lost CD Key.

But if push comes to shove, and you can't find where it's stored, $10 to Blizzard might not be a bad idea.

For all situations a note is required that explains what happened,
what is needed, your full name, your phone number, and a return

CD-Key in use:
You will need to mail in the CD case for the replacement CD-Key to
the P.O. box listed below. The original CD case with the CD-Key
printed on it is required to waive the $10 fee.

If the CD case is missing please send in the manual in its place.
A $10 US dollar money order is required for each CD-Key to cover
shipping and handling costs, no personal check or cash will be
accepted. If it has been less than 90 days since you have
purchased the game and you include a copy of the sales receipt
showing the purchase date within 90 days, the $10 fee will be
waived.

We suggest you use some form of tracking to make sure your mail

i think he means to leave that part out completely and just ask if anyone know how to get the key that you entered.

If it's not in the registry (could be encoded) then it has to be in a file somewhere, most likely in the Warcraft 3 directory, but I've seen other games put them in C:\ etc...

Could start opening config files & looking around (Quake 3 had it's key in the configs)
