corsair pc3000 costs the same as pc3200

This is so BS!!! 1 month ago 512mb of corsair cas 2 pc3000 where about $155 and now it costs the same as pc3200 cas2!!!

Wonder if corsair has stopped pc3000 production...

Are you sure you didn't see PC3000 Cl2 vs PC3200 Cl2.5? They cost about the same, and I went with PC3000 Cl2 over PC3200 Cl2.5. I figured that the PC3200 could run at 366MHz with the most aggresive timings, and that the PC3000 could run at 400MHz with more relaxed timings.

Oh, I doubt they would stop selling PC3000, since right now the fastest official speed is PC2700...

alright i checked again, 512mb pc3200 cas2.5 is $178 and cas2 is $195 . You are right that pc3000 cas2 is good enough, but why not get pc3200 if it costs the same??? this is seriously encouraging me to unlock my chippy...

Either way you're right, you'll get basically the same speeds I think. I just like seeing CAS 2 on the sticker I guess.
