Is it possible to mix lets say 256 DDR 2100 ram and DDR 3200 ram and have a computer run stable without errors occuring or no boot occuring? Would anyone recommend doing this?

I've got 256mb pc2100 crucial and 256mb pc3000 Ocz ram and I have no problems. Just dont mix it up the pc3000 settings with the pc2100 ones.
