I picked up a BD7-II motherboard to put in my 1.6a rig to try to wring more from the chip than the 150/2400MHz limit on my P4S533. I installed the BD7 in its place and held my breath. On my original 256MB generic Samsung CTL PC2700 it would not do the 3:4 multiplier and required use of the 1:1 setting. FSB proved stable at 162/2600MHz. CPU is cool, running 1.65V and acting like 2.6GHz is no problem. Even with the memory speed disadvantage the rig outperformed its 150 fsb 4:5 best on the P4S533. The real surprise is when I threw my sister's new Kingston Value Ram PC2700 512MB in the machine. It now tolerates the 3:4 mulitiplier for 432MHz of memory speed, at C2 7 3 3. This of course wakes up the machine, with the sandra memory bench going from 2360-3260. I'm not sure she'll get this particular stick.
Here is a summary of the three configurations I've tested so far, each tested with my Abit GF4Ti4400 at 300/650MHz and my SB Live value under XP Pro with 41.03 drivers. 3DMark numbers very video limited at this point, with the rather average 300MHz core capability on my Ti4400 preventing truly spectacular scores.
P4S533, SiS 645dx chipset, 150fsb, 4:5, ram at 375MHz DDR. This setup did around 2750 on sandra memory bench. Quake 3 in 1024x768 High Quality average of 268.5 fps on the demo four in V1.30 w/sound. 3DMark 2001SE of 12859.

Abit BD7-II 845e board instead, allowing 162fsb but at 1:1-324MHz on the original ram. Sandra for this config was like 2360. Q3 fps rose from 268.5 to 275. 3DMark rose to 13,069.

The final (and preferred) configuration is the Value Ram PC2700 in place of the CTL Samsung generic PC2700. As mentioned 3:4 is now possible, producing 432MHz on 2.7V. 3260 in Sandra. Q3 fps shot up to 306.5 and 3DMark rose to 13,841.

Seti times hovered just over 3 hours with the P4S533, the improvents in both processing power and ram speed allowed by the 845e chipset/Value Ram combo ought to decrease this 15-20 minutes at least.
