I doubt they'll perform as well as a pure copper block. The water direction is circular not "M" maze shaped. This will mean less heat is transferred to the water. The bottom is the only copper area, again transferring less heat. It might look good, but I doubt it will perform as well as a true copper block, and the price is more than a BECOOLING copper block.
Personally, I would spend the extra $7 for the DD Maze2. But this might be a good idea for a homemade block.

That's more or less what I figured, I just thought I'd ask people in the know. Lookin' kool is important in a nice set up, but performance comes first.
Thanks guys

also considering plastic holds heat, you'd not only be cooling down that copper plate, but the block itself.
IMHO

i've seen some good reviews on that particular block but i doubt it would stack up to a copper maze
