How close to my monitor can my Eheim 1048 sit?

I am worried that my Eheim 1048, which I had planned to sit beside my case, will end up being less that 8"-10" away from my monitor. Will the magnetic properties of this pump harm my monitor? Thanks.

You may want to put your pump in a bucket and try it. There are many of us that have experienced flicker but I don't know about harming the monitor. I can tell you a Danner magdrive puts out a field of well over 100 milligaus at 1 foot. I can have this pump under my hardrives and have no problems with data corruption.

I have my Eheim 1250 sitting not 8 inches from my monitor and have experienced not a single flicker do to it. It is not a magnetic drive, it's shaft driven so you don't have the magnetic field problems.
