USB buners.....HELP?

I need to get a USB Burner for a toshiba 800MHZ laptop. It has USB 1 port, I think I need USB 2 port. But I'm not really sure. Can I get a pcmcia card that has USB 2 ports on it to run the burner?

What's the cheapest/best way to go?
