a top perfomance "kit" can be placed together for under $150 if you spend a little time and do some homework. If you just buy a ready made kit, you'll end up spending too much money and might end up with only average performance.

All the decent looking and performing components are pretty expensive but worth it when all put together. I would def. not skimp out just cause they expensive. Try http://www.aquastealth.com and http://www.dangerden.com.
ALso make sure your tubing doesnt kink in the middle when doing tight bends. Go for either Tygon or go for Clearflex 60 which is half the price and very good. Dont bother with the cheap stuff at Home Depot, I wasted money on that. In reality, I would say about $150 wuld you get a serious killer and hot looking kit.
Hope this helps

these guys are correct, also dtekcustoms.com has good parts, case-mod.com has a good amount of parts, i highly suggest clearflex 60, you can get it around a dollar per foot, were tygon is like 2.60
Agreed, all you really need is a good wall thickness. Tygon has other properties that arn't really used when all you're passing through it is water + additives.
