lapping a gladiator

one quick question: how would i go about lapping the glad/golden gate? i planned on taping the paper down but the clip can't be taken off and i don't feel like sanding the clip along w/ the hs. even if i were to hold a piece of glass w/ the sandpaper in my hand and do it that way, it still seems like the clip would get in the way. any advice? thanks in advance.

ya i was faced w/ same dilemma.

i probably won't cause i'm a lazy s*** and still am not convinced you'll see significant difference in performance, but if you position the clip right the entire thing will be just high enough to not interfere.
