My case has a power supply that has an intake behind the PS, not below it like AMD recommends. AMD says the intake should be enar the CPU. Has anyone tried it both ways? How much do you think it will lower the CPU temp in Celsius - if I switch to the other PS type?

I wouldn't rely on a psu to help cool a system. They can barely cool themselves.

it definately helps, but if you have good case ventilation, it won't make too much of a difference. It really depends on how much you depend on the psu to ventilate your case.
